It’s finals day!

After a week full of thrilling duels, the Yonex Swiss Open 2025 reaches its climax today: the five finals are on! The tournament's best players will battle it out for the prestigious title in Basel's St. Jakobshalle.

Start of the final day: doubles power to kick things off

The women's doubles will kick things off, with LIU Sheng Shu/TAN Ning and JIA Yi Fan/ZHANG Shu Xian facing off in an all-Chinese duel. JIA/ZHANG won their last encounter in January at the Malaysia Open in three sets - will they manage to win again today?

The men's doubles will follow immediately afterwards: an exciting duel between Thailand and Indonesia. KEDREN/PUAVARANUKROH meet FIKRI/MARTHIN - two pairings that impress with their aggressive style of play and tactical finesse.

Will Popov write history?

In the men's singles, all of Europe is watching Christo Popov. The Frenchman is facing the biggest challenge of his career to date: he will meet China's WENG Hong Yang. Popov has fought his way into the final with strong performances - can he cause a sensation and win the title?

In the women's singles, the Danish player Line Kjaersfeldt goes into the duel with the favourite Chinese player CHEN Yu Fei as the outsider. But Kjaersfeldt has already proven in the tournament that she can hold her own against top players - will she be able to spring a surprise?

Final showdown in the mixed doubles

The final day concludes with the mixed doubles, in which another all-Chinese final is on the programme: FENG Yan Zhe/WEI Ya Xin take on ZHU Lin Fang/ZHANG Shu Xian. A top-class duel is guaranteed.
