Defending mixed doubles champions win their opening match

In their first match at this year's Yonex Swiss Open, the defending mixed doubles champions came out on top. While the first set could almost be described as an exhibition match, the tournament's No. 1 seeds LAI Shevon Jemie and GOH Soon Huat from Malaysia still had to put in some effort in the second round. After YANG Ching Tun and CHEN Zhi Ray from Taiwan, who are ranked 126th in the world, only scored 8 points in the first set, they got off to a better start in the second. They kept up with the favourites, who advanced to the quarter-finals at the All England Championships, for long stretches. The Malaysians were only able to pull away at 16:16 and won the game 21:8 and 21:18.
